3D Rendering

Pictor’s core 3D service for rendering 3D projects faster and more affordably — powered by decentralized GPUs.

Pictor 3D Rendering Service Overview

Here’s what Pictor 3D Rendering is, who it’s for, and how it helps Creators optimize their 3D rendering workflow.

What is Pictor 3D Rendering?

At its core, Pictor 3D Rendering is a decentralized rendering service powered by the global GPU infrastructure of the Pictor Network. By pooling distributed GPU compute resources, the service enables 3D projects of any size—from individual still frames to full-length animations—to be rendered faster, at lower cost, and without the limitations of centralized infrastructure.

Through the aggregator mechanism, Pictor intelligently matches rendering jobs with the most suitable available GPUs across the network, balancing speed, quality, and cost. This ensures creators always get access to the compute power they need, without worrying about hardware setup or capacity constraints.

Who uses Pictor 3D Rendering?

Pictor 3D Rendering is designed for Pictor Creators – 3D artists, animators, designers, and others who require high-performance rendering services for their 3D production pipeline. Whether you are a freelancer working on a small-scale project or a large studio handling complex animations, Pictor provides the tools and resources needed to manage and complete rendering tasks efficiently.

Using 3D Rendering services, Creators can:

  • Submit 3D rendering jobs directly

  • Monitor rendering progress in real-time

  • Review the rendered results in detail

  • Download rendered results quickly

How Pictor 3D Rendering Works?

Pictor 3D Rendering is a decentralized rendering service that is currently available through a web-based application. This means you can access and use it directly from your browser without installing additional software.

Currently, Pictor 3D Rendering supports Blender with Cycles, Eevee, and Workbench. Support for other popular 3D software such as Cinema 4D, Redshift, Octane, Maya, Arnold, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Houdini, and more is coming soon.

Let’s explore the key services that Pictor 3D Rendering offers to our users.

1. Submit 3D rendering job

The Submit 3D Rendering Job feature is designed to simplify the rendering process for Creators, allowing them to initiate rendering tasks with ease and flexibility. This key service enables users to create rendering jobs by following a straightforward workflow.

  • Upload project files

  • Adjust Settings and Submit Jobs

    • Adjust Render Settings such as 3D software and its version, render engine, output format, resolution, render frame/render node, etc.

    • Configure Network Settings such as Worker location, Hardware configuration (GPU manufacturer, model, and number), and Pricing tier.

    • Set Payment Settings: payment method.

2. Monitor rendering progress

After the job is submitted, it will be rendered by Pictor’s aggregated Render Farms. In this processing stage, users can monitor the progress of their rendering jobs in real-time. Users can see the detailed real-time status of each frame (whether it’s queued, processing, or succeeded).

3. Review render results

Based on our extensive experience in 3D rendering, we have observed that while 95% of tasks are rendered correctly, there is a 5% chance of inaccuracies. To address this, Pictor employs an additional layer of quality assurance. Users, or Creators, can review the render results and confirm which frames are rendered correctly to accept and which frames are rendered incorrectly to request re-rendering.

4. Download render results

Once the rendering job is completed and accepted, Creators can download the final renders directly to their devices.
