Checker Requirements

To become a Checker on Pictor Network, participants must run a Checker Node application. It requires meeting specific license, hardware, and staking requirements to ensure effective performance and alignment with network standards.

License Requirements

To operate a Checker Node application, you must hold a Checker Node License (NFT) or receive the delegation from an NFT owner. You can acquire the necessary NFT from checker.pictor.network.

Hardware Requirements

The minimum hardware requirements for running a Checker Node License are as follows:

  • CPU: 1 X86 CPU Core @ 2.1GHz

  • RAM: 64 MB

  • Disk Space: 10 GB

  • Internet Connection: 100 Mbps

Staking Requirements

The staking mechanism is a critical component of the Pictor Network, designed to incentivize good behavior and penalize bad behavior. This mechanism ensures that Checkers remain aligned with the network’s goals and are motivated to deliver top-notch services.

  • Staking Requirement: New Checkers are required to stake a certain amount of $PICTOR tokens before they can perform their tasks. This stake acts as a collateral or security deposit, encouraging adherence to quality control standards.

  • Penalties: If a Checker is found deviating from these standards or disrupting the network, their stake is at risk of being slashed.

Note: The requirements for license, hardware, and staking are provisional and may change in the future.

In summary, by meeting all these requirements, Checkers can effectively contribute to the Pictor Network, helping to maintain its high standards and ensure the accuracy and reliability of rendering tasks.
