The Idea of Pictor Network
Origin: The concept of Pictor Network was inspired by our extensive experience with 3S Cloud Render Farm, a centralized web2 render farm. Over 4 years of providing robust, fast, and reliable cloud rendering services, we identified several limitations of centralized render farms, including the rapid evolution of new technologies, the ongoing hardware race, rising operational costs, and growing concerns over security and copyright.
Vision: Recognizing the transformative potential of Web3 technologies, we envisioned a decentralized render farm that could overcome these challenges. By leveraging blockchain technology, Pictor Network democratizes GPU cloud rendering and enables 3D creators to bring their stories to life without traditional constraints.
